DDA GUARDRAIL FITTINGS

Under the terms of the DDA and Building regulations Pt.M: 2004 all commercial and public-building owners are obliged to provide non-discriminatory access. The following fittings enable builders and contractors to satisfy these requirements. The regulations recommend that the handrail is smooth with no obtrusive fittings and has an outside diameter between 40mm – 45mm. (42.4mm) The regulations also require the handrail is “not cold to the touch”, this is easily achieved by either powder coating or plastic coating.
